Kendrapara: Three members of a family were critically injured in an acid attack at Patilipamka village under Marshaghai police limits in Kendrapara district late on Tuesday.
The victims identified as Himanshu Barik, his wife Minati and their two-year-old daughter Subhashree have been admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
Himanshu’s eyes have reportedly been affected.
According to sources, unknown miscreants threw acid on the trio through the window of their house when they were asleep.
Hearing a noise, neighbours rescued the three and rushed them to the hospital.
The attack is said to be the fallout of an old enmity.
