Khurda: Three members of a family, including a minor boy, sustained grievous injuries after a crude bomb exploded in their house during a loot bid at Bhogada village under Baghamari police limits in the district late on Monday.
The victims have been identified as Susant Jaisingh, his wife, and son. They were rescued by locals and rushed to the private hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment.
The incident took place around 2:00 am when the owner spotted the miscreants looting the house. In a bid to escape, they hurled bomb on him and other family members.
They also hurled one in the air to create terror and fled with the money.
The police have started investigation.
