Three Of A Family Injured In Gas Cylinder Blast

Cuttack: Three members of a family were injured when a cooking gas cylinder burst at Pasania under Banki police station limits in Cuttack district on Saturday.

The victims have been identified as Saraswati Kar, her husband Babuli and son Aditya.

The incident took place when Saraswati was cooking inside the kitchen in her house.

The trio was rescued by neighbours and rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The condition of the woman is stated to be critical.

The mishap is suspected to have taken place due to a leakage in the pipe that connected the cooking gas stove with the cylinder, a police officer said.
