Keonjhar: A truck rammed into a house on the roadside of NH-20 leaving a man, his wife and their minor daughter critically injured near Sathighara Sahi under Keonjhar Town police limits on Saturday night.
According to sources, driver of the speeding goods truck lost control and rammed it into the house of the victims, who were fast asleep. The wall of the house collapsed and fell on Mahesh Patra, his wife and seven-year-old daughter leaving them severely injured.
Injured ones were rescued and rushed to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital for treatment by the locals. Cops reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
However, locals blocked the road by burning tyres demanding compensation for the victims.
