3 Of Family Killed In Road Mishap In Koenjhar

Anandpur: Three members of a family were killed after their motorcycle was hit by a pick-up van at Chemana under Turumunga police limits in Keonjhar district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Sajad, his wife and
their four-year-old daughter.

Another daughter of the deceased couple, who sustained critical injuries in the accident, has been admitted to the district
headquarters hospital.

They were heading towards Chadheibhola in Mayurbhanj district from Keonjhar.

Following the mishap, a group of irate locals staged a road blockade near the accident spot demanding compensation for the family of the deceased and action against the van driver who fled soon after the incident.
