Cuttack: The district administration declared portions of Banki block as a containment zone on Friday following the detection of COVID-19 positive cases in the area.
The containment zone will extend to Ward No. 14, 15, and 16 under Kalapathara panchayat of Banki.
“All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain at home. Besides, all shopping establishments shall remain closed while the supply of essential commodities and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the district administration,” Cuttack Collector Shri Bhabani Shankar Chayani said.
Areas surrounding the villages have been sealed, the police force was also deployed in the locality.
