Three-Year-Old Among 4 Killed In Lightning Strikes In Odisha

Keonjhar/Malkangiri: Four persons, including two of a family, were killed in lightning strikes at two different places of Odisha on Friday.

Three persons, including a woman and her three-year-old daughter, were killed in lightning strike at Kundurugoda slum under Ghatagaon police limits in Keonjhar district on Friday.

The deceased are Ramkeli Bhonsle, Aswini Bhonsle and Dilruba Tawar. They belong to Jharkhand.

They were living in a make-shift house under a tree.

On being informed, Denkikote police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.

A 38-year-old man was struck by lightning at MV-64 village under Kalimela block in Malkangiri district while working in his farmland. The deceased has been identified as Balai Bairagi. He died on the spot.

Kalimela police and Tehsildar reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
