Jeypore: Fire Service personnel on Tuesday began a search operation in Jalaput reservoir in Koraput district to trace out three youths who went missing on Sunday.
Sources said that five youths of Padhua village in Lamtaput block were ferrying in the reservoir in a country boat on Sunday morning when the small boat capsized after tilting to one side.
While two youths managed to swim back to the river bank, the three others went missing. The duo, who returned to the village later did not inform the incident to the families of the three missing youths. But as the family members insisted on the whereabouts of their kin, they finally narrated the incident on Monday evening.
Following information, the Fire Service personnel began a search operation in the reservoir on Tuesday.
Till reports last came in, the bodies are yet to be recovered.
