Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning for some parts of six districts of Odisha till 6 pm on Thursday.
The weather condition will prevail in Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Bhadrak and Nabarangpur for the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
