Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Saturday predicted thundershower and lightning at some places in 13 districts of Odisha, including the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, in the next three hours.
The IMD, in a nowcast warning, said that there will be light to moderate thundershower with lightning in some parts of Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Nayagarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Malkangiri and Koraput between 1.45 pm and 4.45 pm.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
