Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued orange and yellow warning for nine districts of Odisha till 4.10 pm.
Moderate rain/thundershower with lightning and hail may affect some parts of Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore during the next 3 hours.
The weather agency has cautioned about waterlogging in low-lying areas, poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas.
Similarly, yellow warning for light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning has been sounded for some places in Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kandhamal and Boudh districts.
People have been asked to keep a watch on weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lighting strikes.
