Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded yellow warning for three districts of Odisha till 5,30 pm on Thursday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning may occur in some parts of Bargarh, Sonepur and Balasore district during this period. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The weather agency has also forecast light to moderate rain/thunderstorm at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Nuapada on October 31. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm may also occur at one or two places in Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Malkangiri and Koraput on November 1 and Korput and Malkangiri on November 2.
Dry weather is likely to prevail across the state during the subsequent 3 days with light to moderate rain/thunderstorm resuming in Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri and Jagatsinghpur on November 6, it added.
