Bhubaneswar: The IMD on Saturday forecast that thundershower with lightning in 8 districts of Odisha in next three hours.
Issuing a yellow message in a nowcast warning, issued at 6.15 pm, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) said light to moderate rain or thundershower with lightning is likely in some parts of the eight districts during the period.
The districts that come under the alert include Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Balasore Kandhamal, Gajapati and Malkangiri.
The weather office has advised the people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike.
