Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm and lightning warning has been issued for four districts of Odisha by the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Thursday.
The districts likely to be affected are Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balangir and Nayagarh.
According to the IMD bulletin, the latest Doppler weather radar and images indicate that thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph is likely to occur at these places by 8 pm.
The bulletin has advised the people at these places to stay indoors.
Similar weather conditions are most likely to prevail in the state for five more days, the weatherman further said.
However, many parts of the state, including Odisha capital, has been witnessing a drop in temperature for the last two days owing to Nor’wester-triggered thunderstorm accompanied by rain and heavy wind.
