Thunderstorm, Dense Fog Warning: Odisha Collectors Asked To Monitor Situation

Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued advisory to collectors in view of thunderstorm and dense fog forecast for Odisha till February 10.

The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has predicted rain, thunderstorm and dense fog at isolated places at several districts of Odisha during from February 6 to 10.

In a release issued on Thursday, the collectors have been asked to closely monitor the situation and take appropriate steps to face any eventuality.

They have been asked to regulate movement of vehicles on highways with help of police and transport officials to prevent any road accident during dense fog.

In case of a disaster or incident due to rainfall and dense fog, the state emergency operation centre should immediately altered, it added.
