Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued orange and yellow warning for 13 districts of Odisha till 6 pm.
Orange alert for moderate thunderstorm with lightning, gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and hail has been sounded for one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Balasore districts.
Similarly, yellow warning of light thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph has been issued for one or two places in Jajpur, Kalahandi, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Boudh and Kandhamal during this period.
People have advised to keep a watch on the weather and act accordingly.
