Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning, gusty wind and rain is likely to lash at least seven districts of Odisha on Saturday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message released at 4 pm, the IMD sounded an orange warning for Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Deogarh districts.
Moderate thunderstorm, lightning with gusty wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph and moderate to heavy rain may affect some parts of these districts within 2 hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places accordingly
