Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for 11 districts of Odisha on Monday.
The districts likely to be affected are Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput and Nayagarh and the conditions are expected to prevail till 6.00 pm.
According to a Met bulletin, the latest doppler weather radar and images indicate that thunderstorm accompanied by lightning, gusty surface wind and heavy rain is likely to occur at these places.
