Thunderstorm, Lightning To Hit 8 Odisha Districts For 3 Hours; IMD Issues Yellow Warning

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued nowcast warning about rain and lightning for eight districts of Odisha including Cuttack by 9 pm on Monday.

Issuing yellow warning, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning is likely to affect some parts of the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal during next three hours.

The MeT Centre has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike
