Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre of the India Meteorological Centre (IMD) here on Sunday issued thunderstorm warning for seven districts of Odisha.
The districts likely to be affected are Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Nayagarh, Balasore and Keonjhar.
People in these places have been advised to take shelter at safer places, if such weather conditions prevail. Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into the sea in the next 24 hours as strong and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40 to 50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is expected to prevail along and off Odisha coast.
The Met bulletin also stated that a cyclonic circulation at 7.6
The weatherman also predicted that the maximum and minimum temperatures are most likely to be around 40 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively on Monday.
The highest maximum temperature of 41.5 degree C was recorded at Titlagarh and the lowest of 21 degree C in Sundargarh.
