Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain for some places in nine districts of Odisha.
This weather condition will prevail in Boudh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Ganjam and Gajapati for the next three hours till 4.30 pm on Friday.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
