Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm, lighting and gusty surface wind is likely to lash at least ten districts of Odisha on Tuesday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
Issuing a yellow warning, it said light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may affect some parts of districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Koraput and Rayagada within next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to avoid lightning strike.
