Bhubaneswar: Moderate thunderstorm coupled with rain, lightning and gusty wind is likely to hit several districts of Odisha on Thursday evening.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda and Cuttack are among the districts likely to be affected,
In a nowcast warning issued at 4.50 pm, the weather agency said thunderstorms, rain, lightning, hail and gusty wind up to 60-70 kmph may occur at a few places over Cuttack, Jagatsinghapur, Khurdha, and Puri in next three hours.
Meanwhile, several areas in Khurda, and Cuttack districts including state capital Bhubaneswar were hit by rain, thunderstorm and gusty surface wind in the evening, disrupting normal life.
