Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with squall wind speed reaching 40 to 50 kmph is likely to strike Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Rayagada districts in the next three hours.
The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued orange warning for these districts where lightning and moderate rain has also been predicted by the Met agency.
Similar conditions will prevail over the districts of Koraput, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Boudh, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) Nayagarh and Cuttack district, including the city within next three hours (till 5 pm).
People have been advised to keep a watch as minor damage to loose or unsecured structures is likely to take place and flying objects might cause injuries.
