Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for Odisha’s twin cities till around 6 pm on Tuesday.
Thunderstorm with lightning, gusty wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and moderate to intense rain is likely in some parts of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city during the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The MeT office had issued similar warning for Nuapada, Balasore, Boudh, Deogarh, Koraput, Angul, Cuttack, Balangir and Ganjam till 5.30 pm and Khandhamal, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur and Ganjam for three hours till 4.30 pm.
