Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning in 16 Odisha districts, including Bhubaneswar & Cuttack, in the next three hours.
As per a Nowcast warning, the districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Kandhamal, Boudh, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh will experience the rain and thunderstorm in the next three hours (till 10 pm).
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
