Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm for three days this week.
Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur in some parts of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sonepur, Bargarh, Boudh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts till 8.30 am on October 12, the MeT office said in its midday bulletin.
With a partly cloudy sky, there is a possibility of moderate rain or thundershower in Bhubaneswar. The maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33°C and 24 °C respectively, it said.
A similar warning has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh and Kandhamal districts from 8.30 am on October 12 till 8.30 am on October 13 and again for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj districts from 8.30 am on October 13 till 8.30 am on October 14.
Although no warning has been issued, light to moderate rainfall is likely to continue till October 15.
