Bhubaneswar: The twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are likely to experience light to moderate rain and thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind of 30 to 40 km per hour in the next three hours (till 7 pm).
The regional centre of India Meteorological department issued an alert in its Nowcast warning.
The districts likely to be impacted are Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Nayagarah, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Deogarh.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves.
