Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued thunderstorm warning for as many as six districts of Odisha.
The districts are Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Angul.
According to an IMD bulletin, latest Doppler weather radar and satellite images indicate that thunderstorm accompanied by hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph is likely to occur over these districts between 4 pm and 8 pm.
People in these places have been advised to take shelter at safe places during this period.
