Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm and lightning warning has been issued for two districts of Odisha by the regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday.
The alert has been sounded for Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
According to a Met bulletin issued in this regard, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, rain and wind speed reaching to 50 to 60 kmph is likely to occur over these places by 6 pm.
People in these areas have been advised to stay indoors, if such weather condition prevail.
The weatherman had earlier predicted that nor’wester is likely to occur in most parts of the state till May 24.
On Monday, as many as five people, including two minor boys, were killed in separate lightning strikes in Nuapada, Sundergarh and Balangir districts.
