Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm activity is likely to continue in Odisha for another 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Monday.
Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar till 8.30 am on March 25. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely at one or two places in Coastal Odisha , Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar during this period.
Dry weather conditions may prevail across the state thereafter.
The weather agency has also forecast a gradual rise in the day temperature by 3-5°C during the next 3-5 with no large change thereafter. The night temperature may also rise by 2-3°C after 2 days, it added.
