Bhubaneswar: Amid the decrease in intensity of rain in Odisha, the India Meteorological Department on Tuesday issued yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning at some places in the state for two days.
Thunderstorm with lightning may occur in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati on July 9 and in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar on July 10.
On July 9, Bhubaneswar and Puri may experience cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely at a few places across the state till July 12.
The weather agency has also forecast heavy rain at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts on July 13.
While there are no weather warning thereafter, light to moderate rain/thundershower may occur at many places in the state during the subsequent two days.
