Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with lightning and rain is likely in three districts of Odisha on Friday night.
In a nowcast release at 8.35 pm, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar said issued a yellow warning.
Thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain is likely to affect some parts of Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam districts within next three hours, said the Met office.
The IMD advised the people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places.
Earlier, the weather agency had forecast rain at a few places in coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Rayagada districts till 8.30 am on Saturday.
Some places in South Coastal Odisha , Cuttack, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balangir, Boudh, and Nabarangpur will experience light to moderate rain during the subsequent 24 hours, the IMD said.
