Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with lightning and strong surface wind is likely to affect 12 districts of Odisha on Sunday night.
In a nowcast warning, issued at 9.10 pm, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty surface wind with speed reaching 40-50 km per hour (kmph) is likely to affect some parts of these districts in next 3 hours.
The districts that will be affected are Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi, Balangir, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Gajapati and Ganjam.
The IMD has advised the people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places.
