Bhubaneswar: With the southwest monsoon advancing further into some more parts of Odisha with its northern limit passing through Balangir and Sundaragada, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a nowcast warning for eight districts till 6.25 pm.
Moderate thunderstorms with surface wind speed 40-50 kmph may occur at many places in Balangir, Baragada, Debagada, Jharsuguda, Kendujhargada, Sambalpur, Sonpur and Sundaragada in the next 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the wether and move to safer places to protect themselves from thunderstorms.
