Malkangiri: Security personnel on Sunday recovered three tiffin bombs in the cut-off area in Malkangiri district.
Malkangiri SP Rishikesh Khilari said a joint team of BSF and state police personnel were conducting a routine search operation inside a forest in Mandapalli area when they came across a mound under a tree. The security personnel dug out the mound and recovered three tiffin bombs.
The SP stated Maoists had planted the explosives to target security personnel. Combing operation has been intensified in the area, he added.
