Bhubaneswar: Authorities on Monday refuted reports of a tiger being seen roaming near the boundary wall of Nandankanan Zoo on the city outskirts as media rumours.
“There is wrong news scrolling in some media of the escape of a tiger. No such incident has happened. Such media friends should refrain from this type of publicity,” the zoo authorities said in a statement.
Earlier, some media reports said a search operation was launched after Nandankanan staffers spotted a tiger near gate no-1 of the zoo early in the morning.
