Tight Security In Puri For Panchuka, Kartika Purnima

Puri: Puri police have decided to make elaborate security arrangements at Jagannath Temple and sea beach during Panchuka and Kartika Purnima.

A total of 15 platoons of police forces will be deployed in and around Jagannath Temple during Panchuka and 40 platoons on Karitka Purnima.

“Security arrangements will also be made on Puri sea beach during Kartika Purnima for the safety of devotees during Boita Bandana,” informed Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi.

Life guards will also be present on the beach.

“We have divided the security arrangements into two parts. One for Panchuka from November 18 to 22 and other on the day of Kartika Purnima. As many as 40 platoons of forces will be deployed on the day of Kartika Purnima in and around the temple. For crowd management and cleanliness, we will take the help of volunteers of Red Cross and NGOs from Puri and Bhubaneswar,” the SP added.
