Bhubaneswar: Tigress ‘Ankita’ gave birth to two cubs at Nandankankan
Zoological Park on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Friday night.
The animal delivered the cubs in enclosure No.28 C at around 10:12 pm
and 10:40 pm separately on her birthday. The health condition of the
tigress and the cubs is stable. Their activities are being
continuously monitored through CCTV footage, zoo authorities informed.
With this, the total number of tigers at the zoo has gone up to 26
including eight white tigers and sixteen normal colour ones.
Ankita was born to white tiger Rishi and tigress Sara in 2012.
