Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been adjudged the best reformist state in the second edition of the TIOL National Taxation Award 2021. It has also won the Gold in GST/State VAT Category.
Odisha was selected the winner in these two categories based on the responses received from citizens/taxpayers.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday tweeted to congratulate Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, for the fete.
The main object of this award is to motivate, encourage, acknowledge the contribution of compliant taxpayers, tax technology service providers, active facilitators, positive-minded fiscal journalists, tax-friendly commissionerates, reform-minded states to the wheels of economic growth and act as a reliable channel providing taxpayers’ feedback to the policymakers.
