COVID-19 In Kerala: Tipplers With Withdrawal Symptoms To Get Pass For Buying Liquor

It pays to be a tippler in Kerala. So, if you have withdrawal symptoms and are armed with a doctor’s prescription, you are entitled for a special pass to purchase liquor from the Excise department.

A Government order in this regard was issued on Monday night, despite objection from doctors’ association, to supply liquor to tipplers under prescription during the 21-day lockdown initiated to counter the spread of COVID-19, reported The Indian Express.
