Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is gearing up to celebrate the 110th birth anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik across Odisha on March 5 with joy and enthusiasm.
Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar top party leaders, including senior vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra, and Bhubaneswar district president Chandra Ashok Panda, shared details of the programmes to be organised on the occasion of Biju J
ayanti.
Mishra said floral tributes will be offered at the statue of Biju Babu, patriotic songs will be sung, and a discussion meeting will be organised on the role of the legendary leader in building a prosperous Odisha. Besides this, blood donation camps will be organised at various places. The programme will also be held at the BJD headquarters, where party president and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend.
Panda stated that every year Biju Jayanti is celebrated across the state with great joy and enthusiasm. BJD, formed by upholding the ideals and principles of Biju Babu, has always believed in service-oriented activities. On the occasion of Biju Jayanti to be organised by the BJD, party leaders and workers will take a pledge to dedicate themselves to service while remembering the legacy of Biju Babu.
