Bhubaneswar: Odisha confirmed two deaths due to COVID after an audit in the last 24 hours, taking the toll in the fourth wave to 34 on Wednesday.
The Health Department identified the deceased persons as a 90-year-old woman of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from dementia and a 45-year-old man of Nabarangapur district.
It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha reported a further decline in COVID cases with 296 people, including 44 children, testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. With these cases being detected from 17,831 samples, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 1.66 %. Odisha now has 2,197 active cases.
