Top 20 Finalists Of Odisha Bytes & Odisha Sambad’s Corona Creativity Contest Announced

Bhubaneswar: The top 20 finalists of Corona Creativity contest, organized by leading news websites www.odishabytes.com and www.odishasambad.in, were announced here on Tuesday.

The finalists in different categories are as follows:

Singing: Moumita Dey Roy and Saswati Narayani Acharya from Bhubaneswar, Sujal Tripathy from Ganjam and Anuska Mohanty from Australia

Poem recitation: Soumyashree Sukla and Utpalaksh Jena from Cuttack

Painting: Mahek Agrawall from Bhubaneswar and Pujita Mohanty from Hyderabad

Dancing: Smaranika Hota from Bhubaneswar, Ratnapadam A. Yagnasini from Dhenkanal, Ayansh Patra from Angul and Bandana Pradhan from Keonjhar

Craft: Kamala Satpathy and Sudipta Satpathy from Mumbai and Meghana Bilakhia from Jharkhand

Acting: P Sravan Kumar from the US and Aniket Lenka from Cuttack

Drama: Kumar Asutosh and Team from Puri

Mimicry: Prady Das from Bengaluru

Story narration: Anuj Kumar Das from Bhubaneswar

The competition was a novel attempt by the news portals, which belong to the Bhubaneswar-based Frontier Media group, to encourage people to channelise their energies towards creativity and get rewarded for their artistic talents at a time when the entire world has come to a standstill under the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

The contest, held in May and June, evoked overwhelming response from all over the globe with highly talented people, belonging to all age groups, sending their videos of singing, dancing, one-act play, storytelling, poem recitation, craft, painting and et al.

The videos were uploaded on the two news websites besides their respective YouTube and social media platforms. The top 20 were selected based on the response from these sources, uniqueness of creativity, presentation and quality of the video.

The top three award winners will be selected from the Top 20 by a jury, comprising actor Kuna Tripathy, Odissi dancer Saswat Joshi and singer Diptirekha Padhi, on July 27 (Monday).

The champion will be awarded a diamond ring, first runner-up a diamond pendant and second runner-up a gold coin from leading jewellery house of eastern India Lalchnd Jewellers.

All the participants will be given discount coupons from KitchenCity and clivea.com.
