Top Maoist Leader Seeks Early Release Of Two Comrades

Jeypore: A top Maoist leader Ganesh has urged Odisha Police for the immediate release of his two comrades.

In an audio release to the media, secretary of Andhra Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee (AOBSZC) Ganesh has claimed that either the Koraput Police or Malkangiri Police has arrested his two comrades Arun, a member of AOBSZC, and Sonal Madvi alias Kiran, a member of the Kudumulgumma Area Committee.

Stating that the health condition of his two comrades arrested from Badabeta village of Kathapada panchayat in Boipariguda block of Rayagada district is critical, Ganesh has urged the police to immediately produce them in the court.

However, the Odisha DGP Abhay informed mediapersons that Kiran  surrendered before before DIG of Police, SWR, Koraput. He was working in the rank of ACM of Gumma Area Committee.

He decided to give up arms after the surrender of his wife Talse Huika alias Talso in Koraput district.

As per a release by Koraput Police, Kiran participated in Ramaguda attack in Malkangiri district 2016, where 31 Maoists were neutralized.
Kiran is also involved in the attacks at Bejing in 2015; Tiriya in 2019; Totaguda in 2020 and Chandametta in 2021.
