Total Lunar Eclipse Just A Week Away; Know When & Where To Watch Blood Moon

Bhubaneswar: Skygazers are in for a treat as the spectacular total lunar eclipse, also known as Blood Moon, is just a week away.

This total lunar eclipse, the first since November 2022, can be observed overnight between March 13 and March 14.

Skywatchers in North and South America will be able to see the Blood Moon clearly, while people in Western Europe, East Asia and Australia can catch glimpses of the moon before moonset.

The total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes directly between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow on the moon. Eventually, the moon appears to be reddish in colour.

No special equipment is required to view the lunar eclipse as it is completely safe to observe it with the naked eye.
