Toyota Glanza Launch Date Confirmed

Toyota on Friday officially confirmed June 6 as the launch date of rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno as Toyota Glanza in the Indian market.

The Glanza is almost identical to Baleno, save the grille and badges. The interiors are also the same, with 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Suzuki.

Mechanically too, the Glanza is similar to Suzuki Baleno. It will come with only one petrol engine, the 84hp, 1.2-litre, K12B petrol engine from the Baleno. There will be an option of a CVT. A hybrid may come in the future.

One differentiating factor is Toyota’s three-year/1,00,000km warranty with options to extend it to seven years. In comparison, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with a two-year/40,000km warranty.

The Glanza is expected to be priced higher than the Baleno and it will be available only in the top 2 trims.
