Toyota Teases Brezza Based SUV With Urban Cruiser

Bengaluru: Continuing the rebadging effort, Toyota is all set to launch a compact SUV – Urban Cruiser. As part of the deal with Maruti, this is essentially a re-badged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

It will have a few cosmetic changes such as a new grille to differentiate it from the Breeza. It could also get light-coloured interiors unlike the Breeza.

Features, however, will be similar with touchscreen infotainment head-unit, automatic climate control, cruise control among others. Engine-wise, it will most likely be powered by the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol mild-hybrid one like the Brezza.

It makes 104 BHP power and 138 Nm torque. It comes with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Team-BHP reports that booking could open on August 22.
