Baleshwar: TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) has been recognised as a Gold Category Winner with a 4-Star Rating at the World Safety Organization (WSO) India State-Level Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHS&E) Awards 2026.
TPNODL’s HoD – Safety Tapan Patra, Assistant Executive Engineer Rajesh Kumar Mohanta and Dilu Rout received the award at a special event in Mumbai.
The recognition follows an onsite assessment and evaluation by the WSO jury. The assessment covered TPNODL’s occupational health, safety and environmental practices across its electricity distribution operations in five districts — Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj — with an emphasis on workplace risk management and the implementation of safety procedures by employees and business associates.
TPNODL’s safety approach focuses on hazard identification, adherence to standard operating procedures, use of personal protective equipment, regular training and emergency preparedness. The measures are designed to prevent incidents, protect personnel and support continuity of service in the region.
