Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a slight drop in daily caseload with 3408 people testing positive for COVID in the last 24 hours against 3554 the previous day.
The test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 4.98 per cent. It was 5.17 per cent on Saturday and 4.53 per cent on Friday. The state has seen a consistent increase in testing from 64,255 on Thursday to 68,695 on Friday and 68335 in the last 24 hours.
According to the I & PR department, 1943 of the new infections are from quarantine and 1465 are local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest 582 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (553) and Jajpur (258).

With this, Odisha now has 32706 active cases. Four districts – Khurda, Cuttack, Balasore and Jajpur – continue to be in the RED ZONE with over 2500 active cases while 21 districts are in GREEN ZONE. In TPR, six districts – Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Cuttack and Mayurbhanj – are in RED ZONE.
